I am happy to announce that the community bonding requests put forward by State Representative Cristin McCarthy Vahey (D-Fairfield) and I, along with the support of State Senator Tony Hwang– totaling $3.75 million – have been placed on the State Bond Commission's agenda by the Governor.

Students looking to take advantage of the Pledge to Advance Connecticut (PACT) program are encouraged to apply by Friday, July 15.

On this Independence Day, I will be doing a lot of reflecting on the status of our democracy and how we can all work together to strengthen it. I think the decisions coming out of the Supreme Court over the past week are stark evidence of the ebbs and flows of our freedoms in this country and that nothing is cast in stone.
