Laws Effective October 1

October 1 is a traditional date for new laws to go into effect. 2023 was such an exemplary session for you and our neighbors. So I thought I’d report on the dozens of new laws.

On Oct. 2, all Connecticut residents will be eligible to sign up for ArrayRx, a prescription drug discount card program that provides up to 80% off certain prescriptions at nearly all pharmacies in the state.

Protections for the Elderly

Unfortunately, as the elderly population steadily rises, scam attempts against that community also increases. To help shield our older residents from being victimized, we passed PA 23-161, AN ACT CONCERNING FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION OF SENIOR CITIZENS, a bill I was proud to cosponsor.
