Attention college students - the application for the CGA Legislative internship program is now live. This is a great opportunity to gain real world experience and learn more about the legislative process.

I am proud to share that the Town of Bloomfield will receive $250,000 though the Community Investment Fund (CIF) program. The CIF planning grant will aid the town in planning for the redevelopment of Bloomfield Center. Specific activities will include a conditions assessments, community outreach and engagement, and establishing an implementation plan.

As a reminder, we will hold an event to welcome back our students at Carmen Arace Middle School tomorrow, September 1 beginning at 7:30AM.

Celebrate Bloomfield will begin today, August 24 and runs through August 26. There will be several fun events for all ages.

The first day of school will be here before you know it! I wanted to remind parents of a simple safety tip when posting that back-to-school photo.

There will be an informational meeting at the Bloomfield Senior Center, located on 330 Park Avenue, tomorrow, August 9. Refreshments will be served from 5:00 pm- 5:45 pm, and the program will begin at 6 pm. All are welcomed, registration is encouraged by calling the Bloomfield Senior Center.

August is Black-Owned Business Month. This month is an opportunity to acknowledge, celebrate and support Black-owned businesses in our communities and throughout the country.
