As I'm sure you've heard, Hurricane Beryl has been sweeping through the Caribbean and is projected to pass near or directly over Jamaica on Wednesday. It was upgraded to a Category 5 storm on Monday.

I agree with this sentiment - ultimately, it is a quality of life issue that needs to be addressed. Not only is it disruptive and distracting, constant exposure to loud sounds can lead to hearing damage.

I am pleased to share that Public Act 24-46, An Act Establishing a Property Tax Exemption for Veterans Who Have a Service-Connected Permanent and Total Disability Rating has been signed into law and will take effect October 1, 2024.
