the House of Representatives delivered a state budget that includes the largest income tax cut in the state’s history and significant increases in funding for local schools.

The Connecticut General Assembly is attempting to pass new laws that would address our affordable housing shortage. Unfortunately, neither I nor the residents of the 42nd district can support any of the proposals on the table.

We are delivering on key legislative priorities this session by addressing specific concerns affecting our Intellectually, Developmentally Disabled (IDD) population, which has been lacking adequate funding and services for far too long.

We were back in session on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as we debated and voted on bills at the Capitol. We are tackling as many proposals as we can before our June 7 deadline, and there are many ideas on the table.

The House of Representative has been in session often over the past couple of weeks and that will continue until June 7th. When I’m not debating or voting on bills at the Capitol, I’m also using my platform to support nurses and those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
