Transforming Special Education to deliver better access to services, providing cost controls, and greater transparency. Recovery Day at the Capitol meant advocating for recovery funding and raising awareness for recovery support services. In legislative news, the Governor made a Declaration of the Existence of Extraordinary Circumstances this week that led the House to work quickly and effectively to strengthen health coverage for nearly one million elderly, disabled, and low-income children. Plus, there will be more Medical Debt Relief on the way.

It was great to take part in a lot of community events this week, I always look forward to spending time around town. We passed a lot of bills in the House including an education bill that honors civically engaged students, reforms crisis response drills, and much more. Plus, we had a little bipartisan fun at the 4th Annual Kickball Tournament.
