July 31, 2025I was recognized for my early childhood advocacy and presented with an award by the CT Early Childhood Alliance. Our End-of-Session Community Forum was a great engaging conversation. Plus, two key pieces of legislation in Maternal & Infant Health were signed into law.

Plus, the existing Mental Health Parity Law has been significantly strengthened to ensure better access to care and coverage for mental health services. Also, the newly signed CT Farm Bill provides a substantial boost to our state’s agricultural sector, supporting local farmers and promoting sustainability.
The Fallen Hero Fund and the Climate Action Bill signed into Law
July 10, 2025The Fallen Hero Fund was signed by the governor, it modifies and expands existing state law on survivor benefits. Also signed was the Climate Action Bill which address climate change and environmental protection. Also, the AARP CT Livable Communities Grant Program is now accepting nominations.
