Senate Passes Stafstrom's Ghost Gun Bill

May 23, 2019

Rep. Steve Stafstrom, the co-chair of the Judiciary Committee who wrote and introduced House Bill 7219, banning 3D-printed firearms also known as Ghost Guns, applauded the Senate for passing the legislation Thursday and sending it to Governor Ned Lamont for his expected signature.

Stafstrom issued the following statement:

“We’re seeing an increase in gun violence everywhere and few people feel safe in their own communities. Connecticut has been at the forefront of passing sensible gun laws to protect us – legislation that most people want passed, including gun owners. It’s unfortunate that Congress continues to fail at passing the legislation we desperately need, laws as simple as background checks. That failure makes it incumbent upon states to do all that we can.”
