I was thrilled to join several Latino colleagues and the Coalition of Connecticut Puerto Rican Parades and Festivals at the State Capitol to announce the events planned for our beloved Puerto Rican Parades across the state this year. 

Please save the dates and make plans to attend with your family and friends.

Here is the schedule:

  • Hartford's 60th annual Puerto Rican Parade & Festival del Coqui –  Sept. 22. 
  • The Meriden Puerto Rican Festival 56th anniversary –  Aug. 4 in Hubbard Park.
  • The Puerto Rican Festival of New Haven – Aug. 10.
  • Waterbury's 2nd annual “BoriFest” – Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Park.
  • Boriken Festival of Eastern Connecticut – June 15 at Ocean Beach Park starting at 1 p.m.
  • New Britain Festival Puertorriqueño – June 22, at the Puerto Rican Society of New Britain at 152 High St. 
  • The Puerto Rican Parade & Festival of Fairfield County –  July 14 in Bridgeport.
