Medicare Savings Program Update!

January 9, 2018

I am pleased to report that the CT General Assembly, in a bipartisan vote, restored $54 million in funding to the Medicare Savings Program (MSP).

More than 113,000 seniors and disabled individuals depend on the state program to purchase their Medicare Part B benefits.

Many residents in New Britain reached out to me to discuss how they would be impacted by the cut to MSP and those concerns were shared with my colleagues in the legislature. Connecticut takes care of its seniors and I am glad this critical program was restored.
