I hope you can join my colleagues and I to talk about the 2018 legislative session and discuss any concerns or questions you may have. We’ll be meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, at the East Hartford Public Library.

Many important bills were passed during the session, which ended on time on May 9, and some have already been signed into law by the governor. Among them were a bipartisan budget that has no tax increases, fully funds our towns, protects the Medicare Savings Program and allows our Special Transportation Fund to continue funding projects. The budget also adds to our "Rainy Day" fund reserves, which are at the highest level in over a decade.
