AARP Connecticut has given its highest award to Rep. Jason Rojas for his work in support of the organization’s members.

Rojas is House chairman for the legislature’s Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee and a member of the State Bond Commission.

“On behalf of AARP’s nearly 600,000 members in Connecticut, we have selected you for the Legislative Achievement Award in recognition of your leadership on ensuring that all residents have access to a secure retirement. This award is in addition to the National AARP Super Saver Award we had previously presented,” Nora Duncan, AARP state director, said. “Your efforts to support the Connecticut Retirement Security Program were admirable.”

“I am honored to receive this recognition by AARP. Making sure that all people in Connecticut, especially those on fixed incomes, are respected and treated fairly is one of my highest priorities,” Rojas said.
