Earlier this week, I attended Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro's African American Leadership Forum. The Congresswoman was joined by House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who I had an opportunity to meet. It was an honor to attend and listen in to this important conversation.
This week is Emergency Nurses Week. Not all heroes wear capes…some wear scrubs. Emergency nurses are true superheroes - always thinking on their feet, remaining calm under pressure, and always ready to handle a variety of medical emergencies. Thank you to all of the emergency nurses of Connecticut for your hours of hard work and devoted labor that saves lives every single day.

The Connecticut Sun's season unfortunately came to a close earlier this week. Despite their best efforts, the Sun lost a hard fought series to the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA semifinals. Although the season did not end with a championship, there is still plenty to celebrate. I am proud of the hard work from the players and coaching staff, and look forward for another great season in 2025.
