Celebrating the Fourth of July in Waterbury

July 2, 2024
We're only a few days from the Fourth of July! It's a time to express our American pride, reflect on our history, and celebrate our freedoms and cultural heritage. I wish you all a safe, happy, and sparkling Independence Day!
What better way to celebrate than by checking out the Food Truck & Firework Extravaganza! The event will be held over two days, on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7 from 11 A.M. – 10 P.M. in the JCPenney parking lot at the Brass Mill Center. You will be able to sample your favorite dish from food trucks and vendors each day. The fireworks, hosted by the City of Waterbury, will light up the night sky over Holy Land on Sunday after dark. Make sure to bring your lawn chairs for the big show.
Keep in mind that fireworks are not allowed by law in Connecticut for use by non-professional, non-licensed users. Sparklers and fountains, which technically are not considered fireworks, may be sold, but may not legally be sold to, or used by persons younger than 16. Please be safe!
