Call for Public Service Involvement
State Representative Steven Stafstrom of Bridgeport was the keynote speaker at the Connecticut Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section (YLS) 2015 Annual Legislative Breakfast. The annual event is held to give YLS members an opportunity to meet with legislators to discuss legal and legislative issues that are considered in the General assembly.
Rep. Stafstrom, serving his first term in the legislature, gave the young lawyers an overview of the legislative process and some of the issues facing lawmakers.
He urged them to get involved in their communities, volunteer their time and talents to worthwhile local activities, and consider public service and political office as they carry on with their careers.
