Tax Free Week
Back to school just got a little more affordable in Connecticut. During the last legislative session, we eliminated the tax on many school supplies and made adjustments to tax free week. School supplies like notebooks, pencils, folders, binders, lunch boxes and more are now sales tax free year round. From August 16 through August 22, our expanded Sales Tax-Free Week means most clothing and footwear under $300, plus backpacks and cleats, are tax free.
