America 250 Celebration Parade in Milford

July 1, 2026

It was an honor to march in Milford’s 250 Parade, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I was overwhelmed with hometown pride as I observed thousands of people dressed in red, white, and blue. It served as a powerful reminder of the patriotism and strong sense of community that make Milford such a great place to live.

It was a privilege to walk a portion of the parade route with Governor Ned Lamont and join veterans, marching bands, civic organizations, and community groups in honoring our nation’s history and generations of Americans who have defended our freedoms.

As we commemorate 250 years of American independence, we also celebrate Milford's rich history and the values that continue to unite our community. Thank you to the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, the City of Milford, the many volunteers, and everyone who helped organize such a memorable celebration. I was proud to be part of this historic day and to celebrate alongside so many friends and neighbors.
