Dear Neighbor,
Tomorrow is the opening day of the 2026 legislative session. Here is the protocol of what will occur on the first day of session and beyond:
- Individual legislators cannot file policy bills - they must be submitted by committee chairs. I am currently conversing with multiple chairs over potential legislation.
- Governor Lamont will address both chambers of the General Assembly tomorrow at noon. During his remarks, he will release his budget proposal. As the co-chair of the Health subcommittee, I will be ready to listen attentively and will evaluate its impact with my fellow members.
- In addition to the Health subcommittee, I also serve on the Human Services and Conservation and Development subcommittees, as well as the Environmental and Judiciary Committees. All of these committees will likely be busy, and there will be vigorous debate over important issues.
2026 looks to be a critical year for our state. I look forward to meeting the moment and tackling issues that will benefit our community as well as the state as a whole. Thank you to everyone in the 92nd District that has reached out to my office over the past few weeks. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

Sincerely,![]()
Patricia Dillon
