Guilford LL Softball Team is Heading to the World Series
I am thrilled to share that the Guilford Majors (12-and-under) Girls Little League Softball team is headed to the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, North Carolina, taking place from August 3 through August 10.
After an incredible showing at the New England Regional tournament, these talented & dedicated young athletes have earned their place on the national stage. Their first game will be Sunday, August 3, at 7 p.m., when they’ll take on Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The game - and others throughout the tournament - will be broadcast on ESPN platforms, so I encourage everyone to tune in and cheer them on.
This past week, Senator Christine Cohen and I had the pleasure of meeting with the team and their dedicated coaches to wish them good luck and safe travels. We are so proud of their dedication, sportsmanship, and teamwork. We reinforced that their community is behind them all the way!
