Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz at Bushnell Park This Weekend

Starting tonight and running through Sunday night, the Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz will bring Bushnell Park to life with the sounds of jazz. This is the 33rd annual event of three nights and two days of hot and cool jazz at the Performance Pavilion, featuring great artists from around the world and the USA. The festival offers FREE ADMISSION!

The music starts at 6 p.m. tonight, with Nigel Bello & Friends taking the stage. On Saturday, The New Mosiac starts the day off at 2:30 p.m. The event wraps up Sunday night with The BlackByrds at 8:30 p.m. To see the full jazz festival line-up, click HERE

Parking:

$10 Locations:

Capitol Lot – 10 Ford Street

YMCA Lot – 160 Jewell Street with the entrance on Pearl Street

Pearl Street Lot – 185/201 Pearl Street behind Theatre Works

$5 Locations:

Trumbull on the Park Garage – 100 Trumbull Street

180 Allyn Street Lot – 180 Allyn Street

Elm Street Lot – Entrance on Hudson Street

Some Jazz Festival Dos & Don'ts:

DO: Bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnic baskets, coolers, hats, sunscreen, ponchos, umbrellas

DO: Bring hand sanitizer, face masks: 2 ply fabric (please bring extra for back up, otherwise available onsite)

DO: Visit the many food, beverage, arts & craft vendors in Vendor Village

DO: Bring family, friends, children, and furry children are welcome (bring clean-up supplies for accidents)

DO: Bring cell phones for pictures and videos and remember to tag us on your social media platforms.

DO: Visit Jazz Central and the Satellite Booth in Vendor Village for t-shirts, hats, posters, and other festival memorabilia

DO: Visit the artists' booth for photo-ops and signed CDs

DON’T: Bring high canopy chairs, tents, or any obstacles that obstruct the view of others

DON’T: Bring portable gas or charcoal grills or any cooking appliance

If you're not attending the jazz festival, be aware that this event will bring increased traffic to the city (as well as people to our restaurants, stores, etc.). Plan your trips accordingly!
