Extreme Hot Weather Protocol and Manchester Cooling Centers

Connecticut is about to experience very hot and humid temperatures during the coming days, so the state's Extreme Hot Weather Protocol will be activated at noon on Tuesday and remain in effect through noon on Sunday.
 
Forecasted temperatures during this period will rise into the 90s and higher. 
The following Town of Manchester buildings are available during regular hours for anyone needing respite from the heat:

Please note that all Town Offices will be closed on Wednesday for the Juneteenth holiday. The Manchester Police Department lobby will be available at this time as a cooling area for residents.

This is the first stretch of very hot weather this year, and it’s going to last for nearly a week, so anyone who is vulnerable to heat and humidity is advised to take precautions.
