Renewable Energy Roundtable Recap

August 4, 2023

As the Chair of the House Select Committee on Sustainable and Renewable Energy, my commitment to ensuring accountability among state agencies and advocating for increased transparency remains unwavering.

On Wednesday, our committee held an Invitational Round Table Discussion, where we explored several important topics relating to advancing sustainable and renewable energy initiatives. This included the oversight of federal dollars, as well as reports from the Office of Governor Ned Lamont, the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP), the Department of Transportation (DOT), the Office of Policy and Management (OPM), Connecticut Green Bank, and the Office of U.S. Senator Chris Murphy. You can get more information on this meeting and learn more about our committee by clicking here

By advocating for low-income communities and promoting solar energy, we are working toward creating a more equitable state while also contributing to the efforts aimed at mitigating climate change. This dedication reflects our commitment to making positive changes at both the local and global levels.

I want to express my gratitude to all the committee members for their active participation and valuable contributions during our meeting. Additionally, I welcome any questions or suggestions you may have.
