Grant For Family Justice Center
Rep. Steven Stafstrom welcomed a $479,018 grant-in-aid to be allocated to The Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport to establish a Family Justice Center.
Rep. Stafstrom joined Governor Dannel P. Malloy, legislators and representatives from the Center for Family Justice at the Bond Commission Meeting to applaud the official approval of the grant.
The Center for Family Justice serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault from Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford and Trumbull.
“I am very pleased that the funding approved by the Bond Commission will provide important needed upgrades for the state’s first Family Justice Center,” Rep. Stafstrom said. “I thank the Governor for including this request on the Bond Commission’s agenda for approval.”
The $479,018 will fund renovations and improvements to its building at 753 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport to establish a Family Justice Center.
