My stance on the "Bottle Bill"
June 4, 2021The House of Representatives Thursday voted on SB 1037, An Act Concerning Solid Waste Management. Known as the Bottle Bill - this legislation among other things - increases the redemption fee on containers from 5 cents to 10 cents.
The fees increase, and other provisions of this bill, will have a negative impact on my Hartford community and I spoke on the House floor to explain why.
