January 19, 2021
As of Monday night, 220,820 doses of vaccine had been administered in Connecticut, including 196,753 first doses. Of the total doses administered, 165,362 doses have been administered to healthcare providers at hospitals, clinics, or local health departments and 55,458 doses have been administered to nursing home staff and residents.

Key Information:

  • Over 24,000 residents are now fully vaccinated, having received both doses of the vaccine.
  • The state has administered 71% of the doses we have received as of Monday night.
  • As of Monday night, the Vaccine Appointment Assistance Line run by United Way/211 has scheduled 438 appointments for the Pratt & Whitney mass vaccination site.
    • 25 additional operators are in training today and by the end of the week, there will be 50 operators on hand to make vaccine appointments over the phone for individuals who do not have Internet access.
  • Phase 1b will be rolled out in a new tiered approach.
    • This approach ensures that the implementation is done in an equitable way, with vaccine distribution points focused in areas where residents and communities have barriers to access and care.
  • Until directed by the State or your employer, you are not currently permitted to schedule a vaccine appointment, even if you are eligible within Phase 1b.
