Fairfield Open for Business

February 8, 2016

This was an important opportunity for Fairfield business leaders to communicate directly with Speaker Sharkey and Governor Malloy about what we can do to support large and small businesses in the state. I am committed to working in Hartford to promote policies that grow jobs and businesses, to show without reservation that Fairfield is open for business.

Ken and Beverly have each worked hard to create a vibrant economy in our town, with a proven record of success. I am grateful to both of them for taking time to join me in Hartford to participate in the Opening Day of the Session.

Kleban Properties, a Fairfield-based real estate investment/development company is currently working to acquire General Electric’s corporate headquarters property on Easton Turnpike.

The Chamber, with a membership base of 330 companies, continues to support the town and the Fairfield business community through a variety of programs and events, all designed to help sustain and grow businesses. The Chamber, in partnership with the town, helps promote a climate for business that enhances the economic vitality and quality of life in the town of Fairfield.

A candid and robust dialogue with business leaders and legislative leaders across the state is vital to our economic health. As a legislator and member of the Commission on Economic Competitiveness, I will keep that conversation going.
