Our two-year $55.8 billion state budget delivers for Waterbury on several fronts including public education. I'll explain how our schools and students will benefit from this deal.

Summer is almost here, and the community can dive into the warmer months at the newly opened and renovated Fulton Park Pool! Keep scrolling to see the facility's transformation.

Waterbury Police are asking for your help to keep our streets safe by reporting illegal ATV use. Please read below to learn how much of a reward you could receive for an anonymous tip that leads to an arrest.

Boost in Waterbury Education Funding

The Waterbury State Delegation is beyond thrilled that our state budget is delivering significant funding to our city's public schools. Thank you to Governor Ned Lamont, Speaker of the House Matt Ritter, Majority Leader Jason Rojas, and everyone who has always supported Waterbury students, teachers, and staff.

Dive Into Summer at Fulton Park Pool

The long-awaited renovation and opening of Fulton Park Pool is officially underway — and I couldn’t be more proud or more personally connected to this project.

This renovation has been made possible through a powerful partnership of federal, state, and local resources. I want to extend my deepest thanks to the following for their leadership and commitment to investing in our neighborhoods:

  • Governor Ned Lamont
  • Congresswoman Jahana Hayes
  • Mayor Paul Pernerewski
  • Former Mayor Neil O’Leary
  • State Senator Joan Hartley
  • Aldermen Michael Salvio and Sean Mosley

As a kid growing up in Waterbury, my parents would take us to Fulton Park every summer. It wasn’t just a pool — it was where memories were made, where friendships were built, and where community came together. I’m honored to play a small role in bringing that experience back for a new generation of Waterbury families.

This is more than a pool project — it’s a promise to our residents that we will continue working to improve quality of life across Waterbury.
