UCONN Allied Health Four Year Program Coming to Downtown Waterbury

June 20, 2019

The University of Connecticut announced that the Downtown Waterbury branch will now be a Center for Excellence in Allies Health Sciences.

Allied health sciences is one of the nation's fastest growing career fields, which will now be available at UConn-Waterbury as a four year bachelor's degree program.

I worked tirelessly alongside Mayor O'Leary administration and legislative colleagues to bring this important educational opportunity to Waterbury.

We have successfully revitalized Downtown since 2011 and this is one of the many efforts that are a part of it. This program will create more opportunities for students to come Downtown, further contributing in the area's positive growth and change.

Thank you to my colleagues and UConn for bringing this four year Allied Health major to UConn's Waterbury campus.
