It was an honor to welcome and speak to dozens of our students from Waterbury Adult Education on an engaging and comprehensive tour of the State Capitol. They asked insightful questions about state government, demonstrating their interest and curiosity. Our future is bright with these young students.
I would also like to thank Deputy Speaker and State Representative Geraldo Reyes for spending the afternoon with us and addressing these amazing students in Spanish. We listen to everyone’s voice because their participation can play a vital role in shaping our government.
This visit was not just an opportunity to educate – it was a celebration of their commitment to learning and growth. I look forward to seeing these individuals continue to thrive and make a difference in Waterbury and perhaps one day in the state legislature.
