Sentencing Commission Testimony

I recently testified in front of the CT Sentencing Commission to ask them to add two crimes to the list of offenses connected to the sex offender registry. Currently, individuals convicted of patronizing a minor (paying a minor for sexual services) and trafficking in persons are not put on the sex offender registry.

These are both serious crimes that involve the sexual exploitation of vulnerable people, and they belong on the registry. In addition to testifying, I have also submitted legislation which would add these offenses to the registry. To learn more about this issue, please take a look at the video below of my testimony.
