Medicare Savings Program Restored
I recently voted in favor of a bipartisan plan to restore $54 million in funding to the Medicare Savings Program. More than 113,000 seniors and disabled individuals depend on the state Medicare Savings Program (MSP) to purchase their Medicare Part B benefits.
Many Cheshire, Southington, and Wallingford residents reached out to me to discuss how they would be impacted by the cuts to MSP, and I want you to know that I heard you and I shared your concerns with my colleagues in the legislature. I am pleased that this vital lifeline was restored.
