Dear Neighbor,
Happy Friday!

From Monday, Oct. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 3, Connecticut will offer early voting for the first time in a presidential election.

Early voting will be held at two locations. You may vote at either location:

  • Fairfield University Media Center (use the Barlow Rd. entrance and proceed to the first building on the left where there will be reserved parking)
  • Old Town Hall 2nd Floor Conference Room (611 Old Post Road)
The hours for early voting are 10am-6pm. Oct. 29 and Oct. 31 will have extended hours from 8am-8pm.

Voting is one of the fundamental rights and responsibilities we have as Americans, and because of the law we passed during session, we're making it even easier to vote.

You can read more about early voting at the Fairfield Registrars of Voters website.

You can read answers to some frequently asked questions about early voting below.

In this week's eblast, you can read about my visit to Bigelow Tea for Manufacturing Month, Fairfield being a climate leader, and more. You can click the links below to navigate between sections.

Visit to Bigelow Tea
October is Manufacturing Month and Paul Lavoie, the state’s Chief Manufacturing Officer, brought the Made In CT bus to Bigelow Tea!

Bigelow Tea is the largest tea manufacturer in the US, and it was a delight to tour this legendary Fairfield business!

Fairfield is a Climate Leader!
I was so proud to see the Town of Fairfield be honored with a Sustainable CT Gold Certification and be named a "Climate Leader" by Sustainable CT!

Fairfield is just one of five Connecticut municipalities to receive this distinct honor.

Fairfield met the high standards in a broad range of sustainability accomplishments to achieve this certification, including actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare for the impacts of climate change.

I love living in a town that takes the threat of climate change so seriously and is willing to take action to combat it. It is just one part of what makes our community so special.

Fairfield Restaurant Week
A final reminder that Fairfield Restaurant Week will take place from Monday, Oct. 21 to Sunday, Nov. 3. There are 30 participating restaurants this year, including Centro Ristorante, Old Post Tavern, and The Sinclair. Click here to learn more about the event and see all of the participating restaurants!

Halloween on the Green
And don't forget: Halloween on the Green is coming soon!

The eighth anniversary of this wonderful community tradition

is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 27 from noon-4pm at the Museum Commons.

Join for a fun-filled day of trick-or-treating, giveaways, displays at the historic buildings, food vendors, a bounce house, and much more. Read more about this great free event here!
