Video: Speaking Out Against Dangerous Rhetoric

During Monday’s debate, I felt the need to stand up to refute the dangerous anti-trans rhetoric spoken on the House floor.
To call transgender people mentally ill is shameful, ignorant, and irresponsible. To my transgender friends, family, and community members, I see you and I support you.
To our amazing transgender and nonbinary staff who work tirelessly for the people of Connecticut, I am sorry that you were exposed to such disrespect in the People’s House.
