The 2026 legislative session ended about a month ago. The General Assembly’s constitutional responsibility is to draft legislation, hold hearings, debate, and vote on proposals for new laws. But it doesn’t end there. A bill does not become law until it is signed by the governor. Here’s a report that highlights some of those laws.

A few weeks ago, I provided a breakdown of the budget, and its impact locally as well as statewide. In addition to the city and education aid, the Danbury delegation was able to secure nearly $5 million for organizations in the city. This funding provides a financial boost to many of the places that make Danbury special. I am glad to be a part of a delegation that works together and ensures that our community is heard in Hartford!
