Hall Rises to leadership

January 7, 2019

The start of the 2019 Legislative Session is around the corner and I, along with all my colleagues, will get sworn-in next Wednesday, January 9 to begin serving another term - some of us with new legislative assignments and priorities.

I am excited to announce that for this new term I have been tapped by the Speaker of the House to serve in a couple of leadership positions.

My new leadership assignments include Assistant Majority Leader and Vice-Chair of the Labor & Public Employees Committee. In this new capacity, I am delighted to be working along with my colleague, Rep. Robin Porter of Hamden, co-chair of this committee, as well as with the senate co-chair and all members.

The Labor and Public Employees Committee addresses matters relating to workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, conditions of employment, hours of labor, minimum wages, industrial safety, occupational health and safety, labor unions and labor disputes and all matters relating to the Department of Labor.

In addition, I will serve on the Planning and Development and Transportation Committees.

I look forward to a productive session and want to encourage you to contact my office with any questions, concerns or ideas you may want to share with me.
