Dear Neighbors,

I hope this email finds you and your family well and enjoying the warm weather! With the 2025 legislative session behind us, I've had the opportunity to attend events around Bristol and connect with residents. I want to thank you all for your support this session. It is an honor to serve as your state representative and represent Bristol.

This Wednesday, I attended Bristol Hospital's Pride Flag Raising Ceremony with community members and city officials, including Councilman Mark Dickau. Here in Bristol and across Connecticut, we believe in equality, inclusion, and love without exception. Happy Pride Month to our vibrant LGBTQ+ community! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

There are still ways you can celebrate Pride Mont here in Bristol!

The Bristol Pride Ball is taking place on June 28th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Carousel Museum. This is a 21+ event and includes dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and full access to the museum. Tickets start at $50 each. Find more information here: bristolpride.org

This Father's Day, I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures who play such an important role in our families and our community.

Being a father is not just about providing - it's about showing up. It's about guidance, patience, and unconditional love. Whether it's helping with homework, cheering from the sidelines, or simply being there to listen - your presence matters deeply.

Wishing all the incredible fathers and father figures in our community a peaceful, joyful, and well-deserved Father's Day.

This Sunday, June 15th, is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Every year, approximately 5 million, or 1 in 10, older Americans experience elder abuse. This day is a reminder of our collective responsibility to safeguard our seniors.

Here in Connecticut, we have many resources available to help you and your loved ones:

Connecticut Elder Justice Hotline number: 1-860-808-5555
The hotline is staffed Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This hotline provides Connecticut seniors and their families with an easy and effective tool to lodge complaints or connect with appropriate resources to meet any needs.

You should contact the hotline when:

  • You are the victim of fraud
  • You received messages demanding payments and aren't sure where it's from
  • When you or a loved one are a victim of abuse or neglect
  • When you or a loved one needs help accessing benefits or assistance

The Department of Social Services Protective Services for the Elderly number: 1-888-385-4225

After Hours or State Holidays, call: 211

The Bristol Farmers Market is opening on June 21st 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the 10 Main Street Parking Lot! Every Saturday, rain or shine, you can shop local produce and other locally made products. This is a great chance to support local businesses and buy fresh products!
