A hearty congratulations and good luck to my good friend Beth Bye, who officially retired from state service on Wednesday, following a career filled with accomplishments since taking over in 2019, including overseeing the largest expansion of early childhood access ever in Connecticut.

 

I have known Beth for more than 20 years. She was my middle son's preschool teacher at School for Young Children. 

Her life's work has been dedicated to serving children and families, so I am pleased that she will continue to add to her legacy by pursuing a master's degree in social work and beginning another career - supporting children and families in the area of healthcare.

All the best, and good luck, Beth. Thank you for your many contributions, and of course, your friendship.
