A major investment in public safety is coming to Hamden. More than $1 million in federal Community Project Funding has been secured to help build a new Emergency Operations Center (EOC), strengthening the town's ability to prepare for and respond to emergencies.
The EOC will serve as the town's central command and communication hub during emergencies, enabling first responders, public safety officials, and local agencies to coordinate more effectively during natural disasters, severe weather events, public health emergencies, and other crises.
This funding will help Hamden build the resources needed to better protect residents, support first responders, and respond to emergencies with greater efficiency and coordination for years to come.
