Rep. Elliott Named Vice Chair of Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee

January 9, 2017

Rep. Josh Elliott has been appointed Vice Chair of the Finance Revenue and Bonding Committee for the 2017-2019 term by Democratic leaders, Speaker of the House Joe Aresimowicz (D-30) and Majority Leader Matthew Ritter (D-1.)

The Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee addresses all matters relating to finance, revenue, capital bonding, fees and taxation.

“I am honored that the speaker has entrusted in me the responsibility to vice chair the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee,” Rep. Elliott said. “I have been vocal regarding my views on the budget. While it is true that Connecticut pays high costs for their services, in my opinion the quality of life here is unmatched. We should aim to preserve this high quality of life. Simply making cuts will not only hurt the middle class, it will hurt all of us.”
