Dear Neighbor,

Many of you have reached out to ask about the potential impact of the government shutdown on Connecticut residents. On Wednesday, Governor Lamont announced that community assistance programs, such as winter heating relief and Medicaid, will continue to be operational for the time being.

This week, I attended a ceremony at Jewish Family Services naming their pantry for the late Barry J Vine.  The pantry is located on upper Whalley Ave, an important location for an area that could use more services. JFS and others deserve our support because they’ll be an important resource in coming days.

Sincerely,

Patricia Dillon
