Dear Neighbor,
It has been a busy week filled with long and productive days. I made progress on proposals suggested by local officials.
- Earlier today, the Appropriations Committee voted to raise a bill. HB 5172 would allocate the funding needed to install radar speed signs on Forest Road. Speeding is a common occurrence in this area - these signs would be a tremendous help.
- This week, I attended a presentation on the remediation process for the flooding issue in Westville Village. Overflow from the West River and inadequate drainage led to the area flooding with human waste. The presentation is part of a $500,000 plan to address the issue
- The Health subcommittee, which I co chair, will hold hearings Monday. In recent years the public hearings have extended past midnight.
Much thanks to Alders Marx, Marchand and Furlow for their collaboration on issues pertaining to the community.
Sincerely,![]()
Patricia Dillon
