Women and Substance Use- A Gender Perspective: Differences in Addiction and Treatment

I wanted to reach out and invite you to a panel discussion I will be moderating called Women and Substance Use-- A Gender Perspective: Differences in Addiction and Treatment. This event will be held at Joseph Trapasso Community House (46 Church Street) on Thursday, April 11th at 6:30 PM. 

Women and Substance Use Event

The panel will focus on the unique challenges that women face in relation to substance use. This event aims to raise awareness about the biological and cultural differences in substance use as related to sex and gender. The panel will discuss obstacles to and opportunities for treatment and the role that research and policy can play in improving outcomes.

Women and Substance Use-- A Gender Perspective: Differences in Addiction and Treatment is free and open to the public. I believe it will be of great interest to anyone working in substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery services, as well as to community members who want to better understand the gender dimensions of addiction.
