2018 African American Mayor for the Day
February 21, 2018The 2018 African-American Mayor For A Day Committee was proud to present Shirley J. Norman as the 2018 African-American Mayor For A Day.
The President Alderman Greg Hadley did a great job as Master of Ceremony and various other committee members also did a great job make the event special.
Mayor O'Leary was on hand to present a citation from the Waterbury and shared some special comments and the Mayor for the day "Mayor Shirley J. Norman" shared a very special speech that was inspirational. The posted pictures are from the morning program.
There was also an evening program where High School students Tianna Felder and Jurea McIntsh was honored as our 2018 Youth Honorees, Board of Education Vice-Chairman Karen Harvey was honored as our 2018 Adult honoree along with the Mayor Shirley J. Norman.
