We're in the midst of Black Maternal Health Week. Even if it's just awareness, we can all play a role in role in pregnancy-related deaths because many are preventable.
Please look at the quick video below that talks more about Black Maternal Health and the legislation I'm supporting that would help. The Tax-filing deadline is tomorrow, and I've included resources that may help you get the refunds/credits for which you may qualify.
I'm also proud to welcome $1.8 million in funding for Middletown Marina Construction and a modular fire training building. I also included a reminder about the Middlesex Health Community Health & Wellness Day on April 26th and more. Just keep scrolling!
As Chair of the Black Maternal and Infant Health Caucus, I stand at the forefront of efforts to tackle the stark disparities in maternal health outcomes for Black women.
Tax season is in full swing, and I wanted to share some useful resources to make filing a little easier and to help you get the refunds and credits you may qualify for. Check them below - and don’t forget, the deadline is April 15th!
“The current Harbor Emergency Response Dock has aged and has taken on considerable damage over the years due to seasonal ice flows and flooding events,” Rep. Belton said. “This funding will go toward replacing and relocating the dock, which all local, state, and federal agencies can use.
The public recreation dock will see improvements as well. I couldn’t be more pleased that a modular fire training building is headed our way, too. I want to thank Governor Lamont and the State Bond Commission for recognizing Middletown and its need for this funding.”
