The Connecticut Department of Labor officially launched its new e-Apprenticeship Program, proving a streamlined, digital solution to the Registered Apprenticeship Training Program, which is already utilized by many Connecticut state agencies.

The legislative session is heating up in Hartford. This week, the House of Representatives convened three times (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) to vote on legislation we've been crafting and debating for months. One of the bills I had the opportunity to bring out on the House Floor as the House Chair of the Veterans' and Military Affairs Committee was the Connecticut Hero Act, which passed with unanimous support. This legislation now moves to the Senate.

On Wednesday, the 50th Anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, the Connecticut House of Representatives unanimously passed (146-0-5) what we call the “CT HERO Act.”

I voted YES on yesterday's Government Administration & Elections (GAE) referred bill - Substitute for Raised HB 7206 - & here's why.

April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month and the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) has launched a statewide distracted Driving Awareness and Enforcement Campaign to Keep Connecticut Roads Safe.

Starting Wednesday, May 7, you will need a REAL ID, U.S. Passport, or U.S. Passport Card to board domestic flights or access certain federal facilities (such as military bases and other federal buildings).
