After several hot, dry days, we're getting some cooler and wetter ones, lately. No matter the weather conditions, I hope you are taking good care of yourselves, and enjoying the summer, which seems to be breezing away. This week's newsletter is packed with information, resources, and events I hope you will find useful. As always, I enjoy seeing and talking to the residents of the 41 district. It's all about you!

This edition of the newsletter has some things for everyone, from good news regarding the state's unemployment rate and job gains to a new child nutrition program for Groton Public Schools.

It looks like some relief from the heat is in store. It will still be warm, though. I have included some safety tips that may be useful when the heat becomes excessive. There is also some news and updates from around the district that I think you will find useful.

I hope you all had a happy 4th of July! I enjoyed seeing so many of you. The weekend is upon us so keep celebrating our independence, safely, of course. The end of June is almost here, and July 4th is next week! The summer is passing by quickly. We had a special session on Thursday to address the motor vehicle tax for commercial vehicles and other small matters to improve our state for its residents. Below, you will find detailed information on the legislation that will take effect on Monday, July 1st. This week's newsletter contains a lot of useful information. Enjoy!
