I hope you're all doing well. October is a month in which we raise awareness on several important topics including breast cancer, domestic violence, and disability employment.

Fall has finally arrived and that usually means new laws go into effect shortly afterward. I have included below some of the new laws that will begin on Monday, October 1st, and have provided a link to all of them, too.

This week, we have some great news about Connecticut Pension Funds that will save taxpayers money now and in the future. Check it out below! We're also in the midst of Hispanic Heritage Month! Let's acknowledge and celebrate the creativity and impact of the Hispanic community in the 41st district and everywhere else. There is even more to check out in this week's newsletter. Today, we honor the memory of those we lost on 9/11 and salute the courage of the heroes who risked everything. May we always remember their sacrifice and stand united in resilience and hope.

I hope you're doing well. We have had some very nice days lately, and Saturday will be another. That's also the last day of sales tax-free week. Why not take the opportunity to enjoy the weather and save money on back-to-school shopping?

We are approaching the end of the summer so school sales tax-free week is near. Beginning this Sunday through Saturday, August 24th, you will have an opportunity to save some money on back-to-school shopping and more.
