I am pleased with the opportunity to attend the Council of State Governments' Policy Academy titled Using Science to Inform State Policymaking, during the CSG December 2018 National Conference in Northern Kentucky- Greater Cincinnati. The one-day policy academy aimed to equip state leaders with a foundation for understanding science-based evaluation and using science in the development of policy.

For over a month, many federal employees have been reporting to work and performing their duties - without pay. The government shutdown affects at least 1,500 Connecticut workers and they are struggling to pay their bills while they wait for their paychecks to resume.
