Habitat for Humanity has been changing lives for many years throughout communities across the state and I applaud the funding in their support in this round of funding. Bridgeport continues to benefit from a delegation working to bring the resources home.

I want to thank Terry O'Connor and the entire staff at the McGivney Community Center, Inc. for recognizing my work this past legislative session. The McGivney Center is a place where children have a safe place to learn and grow and I am proud to be associated with them.

I am pleased to see this major transportation project taking a step forward – the Bridgeport Barnum train will facilitate travel for many who have mobility issues in the city.

Christopher Rosario was selected by the Connecticut Alliance of YMCAs for a 2015 Legislative Champion Award.

The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters gave Rep. Santiago 100% on their 2015 environmental scorecard for his perfect record of supporting key pieces of environmental legislation this session.

It was an honor to join with colleagues and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and City of Bridgeport Officials at an Unveiling Ceremony for the Borinqueneer’s Memorial Highway.

Bridgeport residents will see a significant savings on their car taxes with the implementation of a provision in the recently passed budget.
