I recently had the great opportunity to say a few words with colleagues State Representative Aundré Bumgardner and State Representative Holly Cheeseman at a ribbon cutting celebrating the new School-Based Health Center at Ella T. Grasso Tech High School. This center marks a new partnership with the Connecticut Technical Educational System!
Thank you to Child and Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut, staff and those who came out to make this such a great event.

On this Thanksgiving, I wish to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude. In this season of reflection, I am especially thankful for friends like you, the joy of shared moments, and the support that surrounds us.

Our community is strong thanks to our residents and everyone working together to make our state a great place to live.

We have a great deal to look forward to in the upcoming days with Thanksgiving celebrations, being together with loved ones, and Small Business Saturday just around the corner on November 25. The latter is a great opportunity to support our local entrepreneurs, artisans, and small businesses that make our community unique and vibrant.

Big thank you to Bayview Health Care Waterford, CT for the invite to celebrate the unveiling of your “Wall of Honor”. Thank you to Emily, First Selectman Robert Rule & The VFW Post 189 New London for all you did to help this ceremony to honor BayView’s Veterans. It was our pleasure to be part of it.

Thank you to everyone who came out to advocate for Veterans for the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee Informational. Your voice was heard especially in the area's of 100% Disabled Veterans/Veterans tax relief, Benifits and License's. This has been a priority for me since becoming House Chair of the VMA Committee.
I look forward to continued discussions and meetings throughout the State of CT to get support and share how we can make this happen.

Thank you to colleagues Senator Saud Anwar and State Senator Martha Marx, Administration and other legislators for the call to increased protections for professionals after the murder of visiting nurse Joyce Grayson this past week. Our Condolences & prayers to the family of nurse Grayson.

As House Chair of Veterans & Military Affairs Committee we are happy to announce The Veterans And Military Affairs Committee will host the Informational Public Hearing on Wednesday November 8th 1PM - 4PM at the Legislative Office Building- Committee Room 2C.

Great news for our schools: $540,000 is going to the New London school district and $543,123 for the Groton School District to build and expand high-dosage tutoring through the Connecticut High-Dosage Tutoring Program. An estimated 432 students in New London will be served by these funds,which target students in grade 6-9 with a focus on enhancing mathematics
